Kings Arms today

The Kings Arms, with Painters Court/Sparrows Court, on the right. Showing how the location looked like in its time. The Kings Arms still stands today. Painter’s Court and Sparrows Court were seventeenth-century buildings which were demolished in 1936, as part of The Okehampton Borough Council’s slum clearance scheme. The Carlton Cinema replaced it.
